Covington, OH JR Clark Library
I was at the JR Clarke library located at 102 East Spring Street, Covington, Ohio 45318. I read many history books on the second floor. I had struck up a conversation with a library patron named, David. He mentioned that he was part of the Flectcher family. One of the books that I was researching was the Sylvester Thompson family. Samuel Thompson settled in the Dayton, Ohio area during the mid 1800's. I was trying to find a similarity connection with the Samuel Thompson house in Glendale, Ohio located at the corner of Ivy Avenue and Oak Street. David also mentioned that many houses made from Lime stone came from the Miami Valley Limestone quarry. I has made a note to see if the Samuel B. Allen house was made from the Limestone quarries in Miami County. How was the Lime stone brought to Cincinnati, Ohio?
